Extruded Wall Hung Canopies in Augusta, GA
Aurubis
Project Overview
This project involved 2 primary scopes of work: extruded wall-hung canopies, including both rod-supported and unsupported configurations, and a custom internal gutter system.
Location: Augusta, GA
Completion Date: Summer 2025
General Contractor: Evans General Contractors
Architect: Gulf States
PCG Project Manager: Jesse Rose
Challenges and Solutions
The canopy installations were straightforward, and our field team executed the work in accordance with the project plans, identified secure attachment points, and ensured the finished result aligned with the design intent.
The building also featured an internal gutter system that wrapped around the entry façade to support a clean, modern architectural appearance. Because internal gutter systems can be especially vulnerable to water intrusion, careful execution was critical. Our installation team followed the design specifications while also strengthening the system with a redundant waterproofing approach. This included the use of an elastomeric coating that accommodates thermal expansion and contraction, helping reduce the risk of gaps, cracking, and water infiltration over time.
