The 1405 Spring Street project in midtown Atlanta consists of 4 custom pergolas with curved designs on the 9th floor amenity level of the new Emmi Highrise tower.

Project Challenges & Solutions

Challenge: Pergolas had to be anchored to structural slab of the 9th level which required PCG to fabricate and deliver custom embeds to be placed in the formwork and poured in place.

Challenge: Design called for lights to be installed into center or pergola units which required extensive coordination with the onsite electrician. PCG fabricated and installed a custom mounting plate to accommodate the electrical box and coordinated the conduit path to feed the light in each of the 4 pergola units.

Challenge: With the pergolas located on the 9th floor, PCG coordinated crane time with the contractor to safely hoist the units to the proper level after most of the activities were already complete. This helped to prevent damage of the prefinished pergolas.
