Project Overview
Project consists of 9 PCG custom fabricated aluminum canopies with an 8” ‘C’ Channel fascia gutter and also a 3” fascia extension. 8 of the canopies have a 3’-6” projection with the ninth main entrance canopy having a 6’-6” projection. This was also one of the first projects with PCG’s new custom prototype overhead support rod system. This system adds both an enhanced aesthetic appearance, but also provides flexibility in the field to adjust the length of the rods in case top bracket location needs to be adjusted. This game-changing design adds additional flexibility for our field install crews and also prevents extra trips and reduces punch list go backs.

Was there anything special about this job that highlights PCG’s custom fabrication capabilities?
PCG worked closely with both the design team and the general contractor to provide a solid wall connection while meeting the design requirements. This included a rear notched gutter allowing for the canopy width to extend onto the adjacent columns while still attaching to the steel header above the window system. The upper wall brackets were also installed prior to the exterior brick, providing a very clean knife blade connection above the canopy.
